Outpost is a very cool shooter game in which the game characters are controlled from the top-down perspective. A huge asteroid called Vulcan's Hammer is on a collision course with Earth, and all attempts to divert it from its path have failed. The last attempt to fire a large nuclear warhead at the asteroid caused it to break into two asteroids instead of five, as humanity had hoped.
Now, not only will all life on the Earth's surface be extinguished, but it will actually be destroyed. Extinction is not an option, and so a mission is organized to establish a colony on another world in the galaxy as the last hope for humanity's survival. You are responsible for this mission.
